Meet Leo – The Inspiration Behind Our Name
The origins of The Leo Agency date back to 1977 when Leo Poehling became a licensed Realtor and began his real estate journey. Leo is the father of Ben and Tim Poehling – the founding partners of The Leo Agency. Leo was a full-time teacher in Richfield, MN and full-time Realtor for 30+ years. He consistently earned top honors and numerous awards in each of these professions. Leo wore a suit to work each day as a sign of his commitment to professionalism. Each day he arrived at East Junior High by 6am to ensure ample time to prepare classroom lessons for the day. Leo stayed 30 – 60 minutes after school to meet with students before heading to his second full-time profession as a Realtor. Rarely did he arrive home before 10pm and he worked long days on weekends too. He did this day after day after day for 37 years. If you ask anyone – and I mean anyone – to describe Leo Poehling, they will tell you he was kind, honest, loyal, professional and the hardest worker they have ever met. The values of Leo Poehling set the standard for The Leo Agency; they are deeply embedded into the fabric of who we are as a company, and they drive our every move.
